Our solar year (the time required for Earth to travel once around the Sun) is 365.24219 days.

Our calendar year is either 365 days in non leap years or 366 days in leap years (Feb 29th inserted).

A leap year every 4 years gives us 365.25 days, sending our seasons off course and eventually in the wrong months.

To change .25 days to .24219, we need to skip a few leap days (Feb 29ths) .... century marks not divisible by 400. So with a few calculations tweak the calendar by skipping 3 of 4 century leap years to average out our calendar year to 365.2425, which is pretty close to the solar year 365.24219.

Why is the leap day in February?

February is the shortest month in the calendar, so adding a extra day to it once every 4 years doesn't make it longer than any other months.Thats why the leap day is in February(i think)

My cousin, his mother and the puppet man
Last Saturday, me my brother and my parents went to orchard road( my auntie's house) for a double birthday celebration. One was 3 and the other 1( Augustine 1 and Alexander 3. They had 1 birthday cake each and both of them received alot of presents form relatives,friends.After that, we ate dinner. I did'nt get to eat any of the birthday cake as my mother had to go to work and we had to send her there....so sad thats all....

Today, I went with my father,brother and my father's group to Mt Faber safra to bowl.We ate at the restaurant then went to the bowling alley.The food in the restaurant wasn't to my liking but I still ate abit.When we stepped into the bowling alley, we had to buy our tickets then change our shoes. After we finished changing, we started t bowl. Cheryl, a p3 girl could not hold the ball as it was too heavy so she rolled it. The first time I tried bowling was at Yong Le's end of the party.Now, I've already learnt the basic skills, So I started bowling. It was very fun and exiting. My final point was 72, and the highest was 105. It was an exiting and joyful occasion. After we finished 20 bowls each, we went into Yakun to eat some bread and take a drink.While eating I saw
Ying Jun(i dunno his real name)from Kinship 1 and 2. He didn't look much like on TV.Thats the end of the trip....After that, I just went back home and come to write this post....THE END

I dunno why most of the time when i post, my post will be very long...now will be an example^^ My home is somewhere off yio chu kang road. It's just behind of a forest. I don't like this location as there is no shop nearby,MRT and friends. The forest is scary! there is snakes,lizards(of course la I think every house also got lizard)and other reptiles...The only thing that I like about it is that there is fruits that we can take and it. actually the big tree right in front of my house was planted by a neighbour not the government.I am not sure how old my house is but I know that it is older than me quite a bit. I know most of my neighbours, except for people that I don;t communicate with. I got a neighbour which was my brother's old friend. His name is Andy Tan. He transfered to Anderson primary when he was young(dunno why) and he could remember some of the teachers. Some of the teachers were,Mrs azhar and Mr ong. Mr Ong is our school HOD. He stays very near my home and I usually see his wife driving a car and Mr ong walking....Home and house has a bi difference u know. Home:where y our family is to help you with difficulties. House: A apartment to stay and play in. During the holidays, me and my brother would go to my neighbour's house to play something. either wii,basketball,soccer,Pokemon and others. There was once when they looked after us when our father and mother were at work while our maid went back to her hometown.I liked everything there except for the fish pond. it's scary for me! I hate fishes thier yucky when thier alive(YUCKS)Thats all I'm going to say for now. ciao,Hannah

I love English.... English have been my favorite subject in all this years, I enjoy reading books and doing spelling( i dunno why but not that many times though...)During p4 my English teacher was Mdm Lam. She was a strict but kind teacher. She used to give us a present if we had a certain number of full marks for spelling.But after some period of time, we changed teacher to Mdm Siti. Mdm Siti is my p2 form teacher and my netball teacher. I would be playful in class and write my words in super small handwriting but she doesn't mind much.Thats why she is one of my favorite teacher.Now,p5 my English,maths,SS,H.E and science teacher is Mr Tan.Because of his teaching,now i know more about fractions and now I can get all correct in my school work.Thx Mr tan! I didn't noe how to do addition of fractions at first but now i know! HOORAY!Now, lets talk about mr Razi...I did'nt like him much. He was fierce and always letting us out late(very late)I still remembered the last day of school when he let us out around 1.45 I almost missed the bus and landed up breaking a pottery piece.now he is a teacher of a p3 sport class I hope they will have a good time with him...>.<
Now, Mrs Azhar(p1) Mrs Azhar is a kind teacher. She used to be a sports teacher but now, just a normal teacher. I still have with me the letter she gave to me on the start of the day telling me how glad she is to have me in her class and so on and so forth.... Now, she is teaching a p5 class(5.6) I think they like her quite abit^^ hope everyone will have a good year of learning!!!

Waking up late on this day as I was sleepy, I was excited that it was the first day of Chinese New Year. My family and I would be visiting my grandmother(father's side) and my aunt(mother's side) after lunch. So we set off around 2.00p.m. on that day heading to my grandma's house. My grandmother had a big television that we watched till we went off. She gave us an Ang Pao each, then we set off to my aunt's place. When we reached my aunt's home, we smelled a delicious smell of curry, my aunt was cooking curry for our dinner. Everyone was glad. We stayed there and watch programmes on their Television, the shows that we watch were exciting and hilarious, then around 6.p.m. we ate our dinner which was curry,rice,chicken and more, then we went back home. I enjoyed this day quite abit especially because of the hilarious show that we watched at my auntie's home. Second day of Chinese new year, I went with my brother and his friend to watch a movie called gong fu dunk, this show was about a boy whose parents abandoned him and being found by a gong fu master. The boy learned gong fu and later was kicked out from the school as he destroyed a public pub.I enjoyed the show very much as it was exciting, funny and entertaining. Then on the 3rd day, I went with my family to Labrador seafood restaurant to eat dinner with all my relatives.We got to .communicate with everyone and at the end of the dinner everybody left with smile of thier faces.Thats all^^

13th feb 2008 ,my class,teacher and me went to the Old ford factory for a learning journey. We reached there around 9-9.30 a.m.The guide game us a worksheet to do and talked abit about the questions then we went inside to the exibition gallery. the questions on the paper were quite difficult yet quite easy. The time near to the end, almost everybody had 2 questions left in the crossword puzzle. We asked the guide and the guide gave us some clues so we would be able to find it. In the end everybody found out the answers. After that we went to the garden, they grew many types of plants, but some of them got destroyed by hungry monkeys. Before we headed to Bukit Chandu we watch 2 film shows 1 animation and 1 fact. I watch the animation 5 times as I had been here b4. Thats all that I can tell you now. Wow thats fast,Chinese New Year is just around the corner!2 more days!!!yay can get Ang Pao le O.o hope will get more than last year >.< much more. Injection coming very soon...scared pain,all of my friends say that there are 2 injections altogether one very painful the other not very painful...Hope that everything will be alright.o.O Wishing one and all a Happy Chinese New Year!!
